Whatever your interest, there’s plenty of choice - sports, cinema, theatre and restaurants, historic buildings and nightlife. You can take a break in the stunning Peak District National Park.
The main University campus is in Stoke-on-Trent. Our Stafford campus is home to the Centre of Excellence in Healthcare Education and Stafford Business Village.
Stoke-on-Trent is known as the ‘The Potteries’. The area has been world famous for pottery and ceramics production for over 300 years. There are many museums and attractions dedicated to the industry as well as working factories.
There’s a lively nightlife and the city’s theatres stage Broadway shows and big names from comedy and music. Shopping is well catered for with good value supermarkets close to campus and as well as the Potteries Shopping Centre with big name stores and an excellent indoor market. Stoke’s premiership football team, Stoke City, play at the Britannia Stadium and Port Vale FC play at nearby Vale Park.

The county town of Staffordshire dates to 700BC. You can explore historic cobbled streets with good restaurants and a wide choice of cafés. The town also has big name stores, local shops and an indoor market.
You’ll find a wide range of sports and activities at the town’s leisure centre. There’s a local theatre and every July the town comes alive with street theatre. Stafford has beautiful parks and gardens. One of the finest Tudor houses in England can be found in the town and the annual ‘Shakespeare Under the Stars’ event takes place at Stafford’s 900-year-old castle.

Whether you’re used to going it alone or it’s your first time away from home, we want to make your time with us an exciting and rewarding experience. As well as enjoying modern accommodation close to campus, you’ll be made to feel very welcome. Our Residence Life team will make sure you settle in and you can join in with a range of ResLife activities, so you’ll feel part of the student community where you live.
Do you want to be close to the action? Our Stoke accommodation is a short walk to campus and has easy access to city life. Our living spaces are modern, welcoming and safe. You’ll be able to join in with a range of activities to help you to settle in quickly.
Surprisingly for our city location, much of our accommodation opens out onto gardens, fields, or courtyard spaces. You can relax outdoors in style with seating, fairy lights, beanbags, pizza ovens, fire pits and electric points for music.

Stafford campus is dedicated to our health professionals. With its own student accommodation, you can live close to campus and in reach of the historic county town of Stafford.
Located within a 15-minute walk of the Blackheath Lane Campus, Stafford Court is a convenient choice for students. With en-suite study bedrooms, parking and inclusive gym membership at the adjacent Beacon Sport & Fitness, these self-catering flats provide comfortable and sociable residences, offering a perfect environment for making friends with like-minded students. With on-site laundry, 24-hour security and support from our live-in ResLife Mentors you have all the features you can expect from living in secure purpose-built student accommodation.
There are good transport links to Stafford Town Centre for historic buildings, attractions and cinema as well as plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to keep you entertained.
The licence fee for Stafford Court is £115 per week for 49 weeks so you don't need to move out over breaks and holidays. It includes insurance and utility bills on a fair use policy. You’ll be responsible for payment regardless of how long you choose to stay with us.
If you're joining us for a conference or hosting an event, we can offer short stays right here on campus. Staying with us at our Stoke-on-Trent campus is convenient and affordable. We have great access to local and national transport links, our accommodation is in walking distance of campus activities and is nearby to local eateries and bars.
If you are leaving your accommodation following your first year at Stoke, University approved private rented accommodation is available. Help is on hand through the Students’ Union to find you a great place to live, ensuring that your accommodation is safe, comfortable and meets the standards we expect for our students.
